Sensory Room

At Fiveways we have two sensory rooms; The Discovery Room and Interactive Room. Both are structured, custom designed spaces which can be set up for individual or groups of pupils to engage in a wide range of sensory experiences for learning, therapy, stimulation or relaxation and fun. Stimuli can be carefully managed to work on an individual sense and stimuli or to be multi-sensory giving immersion in an environment, dependent on pupil needs and learning goals. These spaces are also ideal for encouraging learning through engagement e.g. exploration, curiosity, anticipation, persistence and initiation.
