Outdoor Learning Woods

The outdoor woods provides a rich opportunity for our pupils to nurture an appreciation and sensory awareness of the ever-changing natural environment. As a context for learning throughout the year, it is regularly used by individuals and groups in many ways, from free exploration (supervised) to structured Forest School type activities.    The attractive woodland walk also supports pupils with their physical and emotional development. Covering an extensive area, the woods are a valuable learning resource where pupils also benefit from a well-stocked outdoor classroom, mud kitchen, bluebell wood and seating areas.
