Information and Communication Technology
Some of our pupils need assistive technology to help overcome physical barriers to accessing their communication strategies. This could be through the use of scanning, switches, head control and/or an eye-gaze system. We aim to help pupils find the best way to access their communication devices; this includes exploring different types and positioning of switches. To help develop the necessary skills to use switches efficiently, to communicate, we follow the switch progression road map to monitor progress.
