Electronic based Voice Output Communication Aids (VOCA) 

Speech generated electronic devices that can range from displaying simple static messages to dynamic language displays. There are a range of communication software including TD Snap and Grid 3. These programmes incorporate core and fringe vocabulary to support the development of a child’s expressive language.

Mid – tech devices

Mid-tech devices are battery-operated devices that show vocabulary on a static board. The sign of the mid-tech devices can range from a single switch, iTalk2 through to GoTalk displays.
