Communication Books

A communication book is a paper-based language system. A child learns to communicate by pointing to symbols/words.

We provide communication books that vary in size and can have a lot of language. We aim to provide robust language systems. This enables spontaneous opportunities to learn language in everyday situations. It allows pupils to explore language in a dynamic way increasing experience and exposure.

Language can be organised in different ways as well as different access methods can be explored including partner-assisted, scanning, audio-communication books.
